Freedom From Smoking Program:
The Freedom from Smoking (FFS) program is an evidence-based, smoking cessation program produced by the American Lung Association. Clients will work with a Tobacco Treatment Specialist to prepare for quitting and learn how to live smoke free in seven virtual or phone-based sessions. Two drive-up appointments will be scheduled for accountability. Nicotine Replacement Therapy (patches, gum, and lozenges) will be offered for free starting at Session 3.
To be eligible for the program, participants must be
- 18 years of age
- A Vanderburgh County resident
- Must currently smoke cigarettes or electronic cigarettes or used such products within the past 60 days
and one of the following:
- Currently pregnant
- Caregiver of infant less than one year of age (i.e., mother, father, grandparents, etc.)
- Currently live with someone who is pregnant
- Currently live with an infant less than one year of age
- Frequently interact with pregnant individuals
- Frequently interact with infant(s) less than one year of age
