The Healthy Lifestyles Program is a voluntary program working to prevent obesity and chronic disease. This program combines the evidence-based Health and Lifestyle Training (HALT) Diabetes Prevention Program material with supplemental information to create a six-month initiative to encourage lifestyle change. 

The basis of the program includes – 
  • Achieving a healthy or lowering –
    • A1c
    • Blood pressure
    • Body fat percentage
    • Body measurements
    • Cholesterol
    • Weight
  • Achieving a healthy or increasing –
    • Better food and beverage intake
    • Intentional activity minutes
  • Free, fresh produce to those that qualify
  • Free 2-week trial at YMCA 
Participant Eligibility:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must not be pregnant at the time of enrollment
  • Must not be in current treatment for an eating disorder
  • Must be a Vanderburgh County resident
