Our laboratory is certified by CLIA and the Indiana State Department of Health Water Microbiology program. We provide quality laboratory testing services for many of the programs offered at the Health Department.

STD Testing

Testing is offered to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of the diseases below for patients seen in the Specialty Clinic.

Tests offered:

  • HIV
  • Syphilis
  • Gonorrhea
  • Chlamydia
  • Trichomonas vaginalis, Bacterial vaginosis, and vaginal yeast infection
  • Male nongonococcal urethritis

Lead Testing

Free blood lead testing is offered for children under 7 years of age and pregnant or breastfeeding women. To schedule an appointment, call 812-568-8654 Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Appointments are taken Monday-Friday 8:00am-11:30am & 1:30pm-3:30pm. Click here to schedule a lead test for you child.

Blood Sugar Testing

A Hemoglobin A1c (3-month average of blood glucose levels) is available to all clients participating in Pre-Diabetes Prevention and Weigh Down Programs offered by our Health Promotions Department.
