Tamara Sturm is a Medical Laboratory Scientist and the current Director of the Laboratory at VCHD. She is a 1994 graduate of Henderson Community College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She is Board certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Tamara has worked in this field for 28 years in various clinical settings and transitioned to public health in 2018 when starting her career at VCHD. She just recently received her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville Tennessee.
Tamara was hired at VCHD as a bench technologist in 2018 and then promoted to Laboratory Supervisor in 2019. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree, she accepted the position of Laboratory Director. Tamara enjoys working with the VCHD team promoting healthy lifestyles for the Evansville community.
